Dr. Thomas Mann, Member of the Management Board of Talanx Asset Management
Dr. Thomas Mann studied business administration at the University of Cologne after training as a bank clerk. Having spent a year with Oppenheim KAG, he read for his doctorate in economics from 1993 to 1997. In 2001 he became a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Dr. Mann spent more than 7 years with Provinzial Rheinland, assuming operational responsibility in 2000 for the company's interest rate and derivatives portfolio. Previous concentrations of his work had been on the implementation of various asset allocation techniques and in the field of investment controlling. In January 2005 he became a member of the Management Board of Gothaer Asset Management AG. From March 2006 onwards he assumed the office of Spokesman of the Management Board and in this function took responsibility not only for cross-divisional matters but also for the company's entire middle and back office. At the same time, from 2007 onwards he served as Managing Director of Gothaer Invest- und FinanzService GmbH with responsibility for product development in the retail sector.
Since August 2009 Dr. Mann has served as Spokesman of the Management Board of Ampega Investment GmbH and as a Member of the Management Board of Talanx Asset Management GmbH.
Dr. Thomas Mann is married with two children.
